Apart from this, sometimes the color and shape of the nail also change due to injury. Women who do housework are more prone to fungal infections of nails. Due to wet hands, while washing clothes, the surface of nails becomes soft and weak, due to which disease can be transmitted.

That's why the women of the house have a special need to take care of their nails. Like other parts of the body, the protection of nails is also necessary.

For this, some useful tips and precautions are mentioned below.

1) Avoid prolonged or frequent contact with water and detergents, soaps, and washing powders, as they pose a risk of contagion. After washing clothes, utensils, etc., wipe your hands with a clean, dry cloth and expose them to light heat or sunlight, so that the moisture of the nail can be removed.

2) Repeated use of nail polish and nail polish remover also damages the nails, as the chemical substances present in them weaken the hard surface of the nails. Therefore, the use of polish and remover should be done very sparingly.

3) Do not wear tight shoes and socks to maintain shape, otherwise they can prove to be painful.

4) Use antifungal spray or powder regularly

5) Special care should be taken in pedicuring and manicuring of nails, as the nails are cut and pressure is also given. Due to this, the possibility of infection increases due to cracking or peeling of the nail surface.

6) Gnawing, or rubbing of the toenails with the teeth can also cause the nails to break and infection can occur.

7) The cuticle should not be cut. This increases the risk of infection; If you remove the cuticle, that space will open wide and anything will get inside. Cutting the cuticle also causes other problems of nails like white spots or white lines etc.

8) During the rainy season, there is often mud and dirty water on the way while walking on the road. In such a situation, you may be carrying an umbrella, but the dirt that comes in contact with the feet can cause skin and nail infections and allergies.

9) To avoid cracking the nails, use only a nail cutter and filer instead of cutting them with a blade. Nails should never be cut with the mouth.
