The Central Government got the responsibility of running all these union territories. But due to the increasing population in Delhi, the Central Government found it difficult to move to Delhi. In which the Government of National Capital Territory (GNCT) was introduced in 1991. And under this act, Delhi got the Legislative Assembly and the government. But the authority of this Delhi government was kept limited.

So now let us know what will happen if Delhi gets the status of a state.

If Delhi gets the status of a state, then it will have many benefits. Like in the city of Delhi, many authorities like MCD, PWD, DDA, and DMRC reduce. In such a situation, if you want to do some work, then you have to go to more than one authority.

And the second advantage will be that Delhi Polish can be controlled by the Delhi government like Polish of a separate state.

And the third advantage will be that the law and order of the lieutenant governor will be abolished in Delhi and the governor's law will work in Delhi like a separate state. And also the Central Government will not be directly involved in the matters of Delhi.

In today's time, Delhi is one of the fastest-growing state and union territories. Whose economy is increasing every year? And out of per capita income in Delhi, Delhi is at number two.

If Delhi is converted into a state, then the central government may have to work under Delhi. In Delhi, Rasterpati Bhaban, Prime Minister Bhaban, the supreme court, and the embassy of all foreign countries are also present in Delhi. If Delhi is made a state, then there may be trouble regarding the security of all of them.
